Sport Relief Event Aided by Bodet Clocks
Bodet Helps Raise Over £14,000 for Sport Relief World Record Tennis Match
Bodet recently provided four Tennis Coaches from Oxfordshire with a Digital Clock for 'The Long Dubs' World Record 60 hour Doubles Tennis Match.
The clock was provided at no cost and was used to time 'The Long Dubs' Guinness World Record attempt for four Tennis Coaches to play continuous Tennis for 60 hours.
After the gruelling event Olly Carr, one of the Tennis Coaches involved in the attempt which was held at the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre, Abingdon said "Bodet provided great customer service, getting the clock to us at really short notice and not only allowing the event to be officially timed but also creating a great visual attraction for spectators at the event".
The crazy Tennis coaches in line with endurance world record attempts were allowed 5 minutes rest for each continuous hour of play, with no change of ends or breaks between games or sets. Some of these breaks were accumulated during the event allowing the coaches just 30 minutes sleep in total. Over 100 sets and 1000 games were played.
Olly added that "Bodet were able to support us with technical queries during the setup prior to the event starting. The digital clock was exactly what we needed and Bodet allowed us to put on the event which attracted hundreds of spectators over the course of the three days".
The Long Dubs raised over £14,000 and is currently awaiting confirmation from the Guinness Book of Records that it's now an official world record.
